I was a fan of the manga of this so I grabbed this one pretty quick. I was surprised to see the manga covered the entire book, and that there's more to the story. I enjoyed the book but I don't know if I'd want to read more, because I feel like where it ended is perfectly fine.
I enjoyed the book though, it was good fun. Some of the narration had some very funny moments, and I enjoyed her father in the novel because of the way she described his bad habits.
Plus the moe gap with Claude with how his emotions are shown via weather changes is so cute.
Also not sure if it needs to be called out but to potential readers there is a brief rape attempt around the end of the book.

Manga only covered LN Vol 1; iirc it was just meant as a promo by Kadokawa. I recall the manga artist being rather disappointed (via twitter) her commission was only just for the 1 book, because she enjoyed the other volumes in the series.
Having read the source webnovels for this; I recall each future volume is like a fairly self-contained arc of its own where MC recalls the game was popular enough to get several sequels and expansions, and that they correspond to the events of each arc. So naturally she'll step in to save the day.

Yeah, I think I remember people saying it was a shame the manga was essentially just a promo manga.
Do you feel the continuing stories are as good as the first book? I'd like to know if it's worth me picking up the following books or if I'm good with just vol 1.

I'm planning to review volume 2 for just that reason - I'm not sure if it'd be worth continuing. Glad to see I'm not the only one with reservations on that front!

Oh, great! Glad to hear it's not just me feeling that way then! I look forward to seeing the reviews in future!

I'd say they are, if you like the idea of a stubborn and determined heroine willing to do anything to make sure her lover and everyone else can have a happy end.
Like in Vol 2 when Claude has to travel to the neighbouring duchy to meet its purported leader of the local demons there, who is threatening that he kill Aileen for them, or else their group will rampage and attack the duchy. Aileen then recalls this is the exact plot of the otome game's 2nd sequel, and decides to take matters into her own hands by going undercover as a male exchange student at the duchy's academy where the 2nd game takes place to investigate the threat based on her memories of the 2nd game's plotline.
Or in Vol 3 when Claude is stabbed, causing him to lose his powers and memories of being the demon king. Aileen recalls this corresponds to the events of a fandisk expansion which allowed the player to woo Claude, and resolves to help restore his memories. This arc is also notable for going into the further conspiracies and dysfunctions of the royal family, and helps round out Cedric a bit more in relation to the schemes of his father the king and his grandmother, the queen dowager.

Okay, you've convinced me! They sound like fun and I like the extra content/fandisc concepts of it.
Thanks for the summaries!
