I’m surprised they dubbed the songs and they actually sound pretty good. Looks like the lead English actor has mostly done theater work so a strong voice makes sense. I may watch this one in both English and Japanese. I am a huge fan of the original songs sung by Kaho, but may as well enjoy both versions!

Looking forward to this even more now. The dub sounds pretty solid in it's entirety from what I've heard. Kylie McNeill personally sounded really good. Looking forward to hearing her do the full songs.

Worth noting that NYAV Post (the ADR studio for Belle) usually dubs songs for their film releases when they can, or at least more often than not. I would have been more shocked if they didn’t. Also yeah, she’s a relative newcomer to professional theater, which is expected given her age. I actually only recognized her name from a NY Times feature on her and a bunch of other rising young actors/singers last October |

The dubbed song sound surprisingly good, which is kind of a must for this kind of movie. All around it looks like a good English dub.
