Hopefully we will get the movies too.
.......for $250.00 you will get the movies too. Looks like 4 people have dipped into the $5,000 tier. Guess they really want that steak dinner in New York. Nobody has touched the $2,500 tier yet. Come on you whales, you get steak dinners for this tier also. |

I'll be in but how much to get a consistent cast for once? It can't be that much more work to dub a few OVA episodes and three short features when doing a 26 episodes series.
Dirty Pair Flash? Never heard of it... even after watching a few episodes. ESPECIALLY after watching a few episodes. |

They are not dubbing the movies because it already has a dub; only the TV show had no dub before. But this will be the first time the movies will be on Blu-ray in N. America. |

No, the three "movies" have two dubs and they both suck. The OVA, which is where Calvello comes in, is better but... I would have cast cast her as Kei and not Yuri so that always confused me. Right Stuf is asking for money so I can be happy with a least one dub? That's not good enough. Come on guys, money talks and bs walks... we need talk about what we as a group are trying to accomplish here. Put it on the table or I walk away. I've backed three successful Kickstarter campaigns so far and I'd be happy to make it four but only if its goals make me happy. |

That and the fact that it would cost the same amount as dubbing the entirety of the series to produce just one episode of a new series. |

It could also come down to maybe, just maybe, Right Stuf doesn't have any M&E/Music & Effects tracks to produce a new dub for more than just the TV series, so they literally are unable to make a new dub. Sure, one could argue "Can't they just make their own M&E track?", but the ability to do that for movies that are 30-35 years old is next to impossible at this point. Right Stuf was able to find the M&E track for Dirty Pair TV, which is why they're doing the KS for just this production. I'm sure that if they had the ability to dub more, they likely would have already mentioned the possibility as a potential stretch goal, so as to entice people to support it even more. |

Personally,I think this is good. My own current troubles with the site notwithstanding,it's still a worthwhile endeavor. It looks like it's doing well,regardless. I'm just glad that the TV series is finally getting the dub it's long deserved and I hope more like it follow.

Sorry wrongstuf, I might be a Dirty Pair fanboy but I'm not funding your kickstarter. How in the hell did they manage to find the sound effects and music track when ADV couldn't all those years ago?

If it wasn't Robert Woodhead of AnimEigo's doing, I would be surprised. He's the reason Discotek now has the film prints for Project A-Ko & the Fatal Fury OVAs because of the MADOX-01 Kickstarter he has been doing plus Justin implied Discotek has more film remasters coming with what has been found in the same discovery. |

Looks like they have surpassed the goal over the weekend, great news!
I really appreciated their dub for Emma and Aria, although not interested in this project personally, I am still glad the crowdfunding was successful. |

Aren’t the OVA’s already out there with all the dubs intact? I mean, maybe there are things they could do to put those on Blu-ray or something but that feels like another project entirely. |
