Good to see aquatope on the rise in the weekly rankings, at least. While the whole series has been good, the last two episodes in particular have been superb.

I wasn't sure what to expect coming into the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S this season. What I really did not expect was it to hit the ball clear out of the stadium. This lovable, weird show managed to dexterously weave in a complex multi-character development and history throughout the whole season and was as touching and thought-provoking as it was funny. It deserves its number one place, and not simply from popularity. It's clearly the anime of the season based on its merits. Good job, guys. Yasuhiro Takemoto is looking down and smiling.

Aquatope was my 2nd favorite show but I can't really see why it's getting a 2nd season-it was concluded in a satisfactory manor and all the loose ends were tied together. On the other hand My Next Life As A Villainess-All Routes Lead to Doom! 2 and Miss Kobayahsi's Dragon Maid were exemplary and I enjoyed the shit out of both.

Nice to see Dragon maid at the top - despite some questionable character design & "plot".
The fight scenes were top class - better than most of the shonen shows this season. The attention to detail in the backgrounds - all far too good for a fantasy SOL, please let them do a season 3. Aquatrope making good progress and the last two episodes were really good. a few surprises at the bottom - some I dropped early on as the hype far exceeded the anime (Detective is already dead, peachboy riverside) but it did feel like there was a lot of average/dross content this season. |
