That's impressive, one shot even had what looked like dust on a cel and they were able to give some drawings that shoddy xerox look to the line art.

You know what? I wouldn't mind a bit of the 80's and 90's aesthetic to have a influence on some modern productions. Something akin to Bubblegum Crisis or Macross 7.

You and me both. That look is from a good two decades before I started watching anime but it is my absolute favorite era from a design standpoint.

Wow, they somehow managed to make an official video that looks like a good fan AMV. I wonder how many people will end up wondering what show those clips are from (and then how many more will be disappointed that there wasn't a show...)
