Has a 'Heroic Tales' look to it. Can't wait to hear more about it!

I hope it doesn't take as long to be localized as Silver Spoon did

Don't worry, I doubt Square Enix will let this sit for long before bringing it over, especially if it becomes a big hit. It'd be a big boost for their relatively new English manga brand.
Silver Spoon was a Shogakukan title from a time when English licenses of their stuff from publishers were a bit more sporadic, so it was a slightly different situation, lol.

Yes, I'm aware of the situation with Silver Spoon, Shogakukan/Viz, etc., but my point stands: I hope this new series doesn't take an outrageously long time to be localized
(Also, it's a much longer shot, but I hope someone picks up Hyakushou Kizoku sometime as well.)

I guess she technically had two concurrent manga going with Silver Spoon and Arslan, so it likely won't affect her workload to be doing both Ausland and this new series... but I dunno. It still seems like a lot.

Fingers crossed it's at least better than Heroic Tales was. The anime was one extremely mediocre and one of the blandest shows I've finished after having blind bought it based on Arakawa's character designs.
FMA and Silver Spoon have been absolute amazing series on the other hand so definitely looking forward to this one!

I’m kind of glad we’re not getting an FMA sequel like people were speculating wildly on Twitter. The original manga ended at the perfect spot and it doesn’t need to be milked more.

I hope it doesn't suffer from the cliches of Hero Tales based on those sketches of warriors. The main character looks like a male version of Riza Hawkeye

Arslan is adapted from a novel series, so it's not really her own original story like FMA and Silver Spoon.

Excellent, looking forward to learning more.
Yeah, Heroic Tales, at least the anime, was extremely mediocre. The animation was also pretty weak too on that one. Though the designs as expected were really nice.
I was really enjoying the Arslan anime before they stopped for some reason (would be nice for it to come back even though I'm picking up the manga when I can) so I'm excited for a new action series from her.

I can't speak to the anime, but I found her Arslan manga to be pretty good. Maybe not quite at the level of FMA, but certainly near that level.
