Wow, an all region DVD with classic anime (and we mean classic!). I wonder if there will be a market for this sort of stuff.

I'm going to take a look at these, I mean it's pre-world war II anime. Are you kidding me I have to see this, just to at least see the style, and also a silent anime that something new. I am hoping that rentanime picks these up so I can view these.

Note these are only classics of "ancestral anime". The late 50s Toei movies are among the first "modern" of anime classics.

It may be that some of these titles are now in the public domain, as copyright duration in Japan is 50 years (but this is past the date of the author's death). Therefore they could be freely distributed on-line. I'm not sure how this might apply, however, to the subtitle tracks or other material.

Didn't get the first post.
Well, I'm there mainly because this will be something I'll be recommending to my job's (library) animation collection. We can definitely use this type of material. It ain't all about 'Disney' and 'Looney Toons'.
