It's not bad of course, but so far probably the weakest (and slowest) work from Urasawa...

It’s actually my favorite of Urasawa’s works. I really like Asa and the setting. While the mystery feels quite familiar, it’s overall a breath of fresh air in the Urasawa microcosm. Very charming & more focused than his longer works.

I've read up to Volume 4 in Japanese. 5 is out next wwek.

"it" is definitely a reoccurring theme but no clear answers....yet. You do get to see more of the schoolfriends next volumes and some interesting situations are created with the oldmans wartime friend and the schoolfriends but to write more would be to spoil.

We're in for a longhaul for sure....

I love Urasawa, but his pacing in this work is decidedly not for me. I think it's time for me to duck out for a while, and check back in once the story is further along.
