The ANN encyclopedia is our friend... and all it says it there was a prequel OAV made about a year later. Otherwise, zippo. It has been about 8 years, and I don't remember anything, not even the slightest of wild unsubstantiated rumors. Which, ANN doesn't like to deal in those anyway. So, good luck looking around the rest of the 'net. Sorry.

You are going to have to rely on reading the manga, which is actually one of the few series I follow. A lot has actually happened in it, such as Tomoko having a group of friends, and not even the one with the biggest social problems.
