Arnold Schwarzenegger had better voice the Terminator in the English dub of this anime. No one can replace Arnold.

Seems like Netflix is really banking on anime or anime-esque adaptions of Western properties.

There really isn't more you can tell with this story though. Killer robot travels back in time to kill future scion. We've gotten five attempts already, at least two of which were unneccessary (3's up in the air thanks to the ending; Salvation doesn't count).

You want a time traveling story? Give Legacy of Kain another shot at a revival. That series is criminally underrated, and an animated series would certainly regenerate buzz. Albeit I've mentioned such on numerous message boards about a possible eight or ten episode season starter.

We already lost Tony Jay, so give Michael Bell(82) and Simon Templeman(67) something before it's too late. Arnie will be fine. Sorta.

The worst would be Showgirls. But since Terminator have some degree of popularity in Japan, this could work.

This could be glorious I love the idea of a Terminator anime or just a animated saga set in the Terminator universe in general.

But seriously, what age group are they shooting for here? Terminator came out in the early 80s. I remembered seeing this at the theaters and I'm in 50s. This looks like this is aim at children who most likely never saw the movie.

The image in the article is from the 2009 Doraemon episode that featured the T-800, not from the upcoming Netflix anime. Netfix has not provided an image of its version yet.

Considering he didn’t voice the Terminator in MK11?

Hellyeah! this could be awesome. Production IG+Mamoru Oishi doing a Terminator-related anime sounds like an instawin for me. Just, please, don't be CGI (looking at you, GITS 2045)

Can't they just lay this franchise to sleep, after that god awful film Genisys I lost all interest. And no one seemed to like dark fate, plus it bombed hard. And this being from Netflix doesn't fill me with confidence.

That's assuming that the target audience here is Japanese viewers... I think with this and other western properties the main target is North American casual anime watchers, and those who who may not watch much anime (or at all), but are interested in these franchises enough to watch anime adaptations. As for Japan, these shows get next to zero promotion in Japan. Shows like B the Beginning, Aico, Dragon's Dogma, Levius, even Devilman Crybaby barely had any coverage in Japanese anime-focused media - in some cases none at all.
