The first series was quite popular (IIRC, it was the most-watched show of the season on CR in several countries) so this isn't a surprise at all. No announcement of a date suggests that it's in the early planning/development stages, which suggests that it's probably a year off at this point. We may not see it until early next year. |

I honestly thought a second season had been annonced prior to the movie and was pushed back due to Covid. Glad it’s getting one though. Less rape and more Goblin bashing would be nice though.

I was also under the impression that season 2 had been confirmed a while back. I plan to watch season 2; I hope the writing is a little more ambitious.

Obligatory question before watching the second season: is the （albeit relatively short for a featured film ) movie (Goblin's crown) an essential viewing before I hop to the second season? According to the reviews, the movie isn't too stellar

They took their sweet time coming back. I also hope it airs this year we've already waited long enough.
