I had a feeling the backgrounds in the 2019 anime were based on real locations, considering how detailed they are (especially in comparison to the manga and 2001 anime, which were both pretty sparse with backgrounds). It's always nice when you notice those details.

I do want to visit Japan some day, to see cultural sites and experience new things as well as see anime stuff. But whenever I see an event for one of my faves like this I wish I could just take an impromptu vacation to Japan to see it.
