Kinda odd not to highlight Misato's seiyuu's tweet as her character is far, far more important to Evangelion than Mari. She also includes the iconic saabisu saabisu in her tweet as well.

25 years already. Time moves so fast. Thanks to everyone involved in making Evangelion a success. Can't wait for the final film.

Congratulations, Evangelion!

They should make Girlfriend of Steel anime too...

Doubt this is really the final Evangelion thing.

Looking forward to the finale! Hopefully it won't be too long overseas. Heck, they could take advantage of the Hollywood delays. Theaters are desperate for new stuff.

25 years later and I still don't know why this terrible show is popular.

Time sure does fly fast. I have to agree with Ishida it's amazing how Evangelion has remained in anime pop culture all these years, I believe it's because everybody can interpret and enjoy the series in their own way, there are those who love its plot, character and mecha designs, the music and the different continuities.
I myself first encountered Evangelion in the late 90s, there was a show about video-games which showed intro cinematics every friday and one time they showed the intro for an Eva game, which was just the anime opening, it was one of the first time I've heard an op in Japanese and despite me being very young and unable to understand what the song was about, the melody was so catchy. But I actually watched the show when I was in the middle of highschool, I also managed to collect all the copies of the manga and I have the first two Rebuild movies. I had some problems with the third one, but I'm actually interested how it's going to end, can't wait to find it out.
