So when a anime has the "Objectionable content: none"-tag what does that mean? Attempted suicide, executions, animal cruelty and people getting eaten alive by monsters does not fall under "Objectionable content" apparently so what does?

Could you give an example or link to something in order to put this into context ?

That's a kids show, so it's unlikely to have any objectionable content.
Objectionable content would be things like blatant sexual innuendo, pornography, extreme violence, adult situations, rape, etc... If you can point out a source that lists actual objectionable content in that anime, it will be corrected. All the subjects you listed could qualify, but it depends on how they are treated by the anime. -t |

Since it's quite an obscure anime it would take too much effort to actually produce any "evidence". I found at other pages similar to this one have it listed as pg-13 rating.
And it might be because I misunderstood "objetcionable content" from the beginning. I thought it was content not suitable for children more or less. So if I understood you correctly, a show in the "mild" category it might contain mild forms of rape? That's some weird logic. I thought mild would be more like some blood and not too graphic violence and "none" would be like dora the explorer level. My mistake. edit: readability |

Rape is objectionable content. Even mere mention of it deserves to be pointed out.
If you could link to other sites that mention it as PG, we can take a look. Unfortunately Crunchyroll's page on it doesn't give an age rating (we accept the licensor's rating), and our reviews on it merely say that it is "though never objectionable, it has dark undertones and some shocking plot turns that will send wee 'uns scurrying for cover." I'll ask the reviewer for his opinion. |

Yes I know the anime was marketed for kids but in all honesty japanese childrens program can be a bit on the adult-side (from a westerners perspective) in my opinion at least.
Here's a site that has it listed as PG-13: https://myanimelist.net/anime/5420/Kemono_no_Souja_Erin I don't want to nag on and on about this. It's your site at the end of the day and you do what you consider best for your audience just thought I would point this out because I have always been in agreement with the objectionable content-tag until now. Thank you for a great website. |
