Would be nice if this rekindled enough interest in the series for a season 3.

And man, Aya's normal speaking voice sounds nothing like any of her characters. Surprised

It really is rather astonishing to remember how big Haruhi was in fandom circles in the late aughts and how that popularity just faded away without comment.

I was kind of shocked - her normal voice sounds more like a traditional anime character than any of the characters she actually voices.

It really didn't though? It concluded with one of the greatest animated films of all time, which was also like the 2nd longest animated film in the world. But more relevant, fans have been asking for a Season 3 forever. It's harder to find the voices because so many people have become anime fans in the last decade that we get buried in conversation but also we got tired of asking, but we'd still love it.

Anyway, this is pretty amazing to see. Sugita-san being a blast as always.

She's still got it after all these years.
The cat mugging though feels like something Shokotan would do.

Maybe she's just more expressive behind the microphone? Could also be voice directing.

Maybe it's cause I'm too lazy to do the research but is there enough source material to even do a 3rd season?

There's plenty of unadapted material.

This is a really cool idea, it's nice to see Aya and Tomokazu kickstarting something like this : )

Also, everytime I see Aya irl, I have to press F for that poor bassist Very Happy

Can we please not do this now? Thanks.

As for the videos, that's pretty cool. Aya's dancing is on point, and Sugita is hilarious as always. I kind of want to see a seiyuu Hare Hare Yukai challenge where each seiyuu nominates another/several others. That would at least bring some levity to the community for a while.

There's enough fur a third season, a second film and possibly an OVA in between. The anime in total adapted about half of the published light novel material.
