I'm glad the eight main human characters look the same as they were in the original series, even if they have different clothes in this series.

The cast seems interesting. Masako Nozawa is an interesting cast choice for narrator, since she already did that in Tamers and so far, Digimon anime avoided repeating narrators in different continuities, so I wonder if this means something. And hearing Gon as Takeru will be funny as hell too  And the rest of the cast seems good too. Glad they did not go with some total newcomers as Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens did with their main character. These are all experienced seiyuu, which is good. So, I am looking forward to hear them.

I pretty much expected them to recast the Digidestined and somehow I feel like I’m more accepting of this than I initially was about the Tri recasts since this is a reboot rather than a continuation. I do wonder why Tailmon’s VA was the only one of the Digimon VAs to not return since she did reprise her role in Tri and Kizuna. I also wonder if they’ll bring back the Tri dub cast for Adventure: like was done with the Fruits Basket reboot dub if this gets a dub.

Particularly since both Taichi and Sora's original VAs had already passed away.

Tailmon’s seiyuu had pretty much retired as of Tri, and came back as a special thing. I’m guessing her current life didn’t allow to return yet again (I don’t know her personally, so I wouldn’t know).
Mie Sonozaki is a friend of mine, though, and she’s a very good person +actress. The role of Tailmon is in very good hands.

Megumi Han has actually played Takeru before in the Digimon Adventure PSP game back in 2013. She was the only recast at the time.

so Boruto becomes Taichi huh? great choice she did good job with Captain Tsubasa (2018) as well

But how about choose a voice actor that have at least 90% similar voice for the role? I remember that even a Gundam parody anime got a very good seiyuu for Char aznable that was very similar to the original, this new taichi voice with the old design is very weird... Bad memories of when Toei change Nami and chopper voice actors and sound terrible but at that time they don't have too much time but with this they have the time...
