That’s actually a pretty good deal (since it comes with two controllers out of the box and the company making it is pretty solid) I think I’ll pick it up.

Castle of Illusion and World of Illusion were at the top of my most-wanted games that I thought had a realistic shot of appearing on the Genesis Mini (should Sega successfully get the Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck license from Disney) since they're top-tier platform games so I'm very happy that they're both on it.
I'm not expecting too many more licensed Disney games to be announced but I'd be surprised if Aladdin won't also appear on it. I'm a little disappointed that the first Shinobi game to be announced is Shinobi III instead of Revenge of Shinobi, probably the most iconic Shinobi game on the console. Revenge of Shinobi is one of those games that's never included in Genesis collections almost certainly because of the licensing weirdness of having Spider-Man (who turns out to be an impostor) as a level boss. I guess it's because Sony holds the videogame rights to Spider-Man as a solo character (as opposed to multi-console games like Lego Marvel Superheroes where Spider-Man and related characters appear in a huge roster from all across Marvel Comics) and won't let Sega use him. I guess I will buy this despite the lack of cartridge slot. I'll probably use 6-button Genesis controllers rather than the ones they're including as pack-ins. |

I thought they removed those potential copyright infringements in later re releases of the game. |

Oh, hey, you're right, there's a fourth version of the game that was released only virtually on various consoles' download stores where Spider-Man was replaced by a palette-swap. (The only version of Revenge of Shinobi I own is the one on the Sega CD pack-in Sega Classics CD-ROM that's the third version of the game where the sprites that look like Terminator, Rambo, Godzilla, and Batman had already been replaced but Spider-Man still appears along with the Marvel Comics copyright notice at the beginning.) Given that there's a copyright-infringement-free version of Revenge of Shinobi out there, I will concede that I have absolutely no idea why it's never included on physical media Sega Genesis collections for modern consoles despite being one of the greatest early Genesis games. |

I would like to see the Old School Shadowrun get added! Also there are so many good games missing from this list it’s insane!

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were included on 2009's Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, the main physical media collection I was referring to, although, yeah, I am aware they're missing from some other Genesis collections. I'd be astonished if the third games announcement didn't include Sonic 3 and then the final one didn't include Sonic & Knuckles, unless they're just going to announce the combined Sonic 3 & Knuckles next time and then announce Sonic 3D Blast in the final announcement. |
