They might milk his popularity and put him later as a DLC. I'm more annoyed by Cell. His moves are basically a mishmash of characters' moves that are already in-game (Goku, Piccolo etc) Beerus/Trunks/Kid Buu/Hit would be a better replacement for Cell IMO
Also, I'm still hoping for a Shaman King reveal (Am I the only one?)

Not going to happen, mainly due to Horiyuki Takei moving to Kodansha this year, along with all of the Shaman King rights; the timing really felt purposeful, too. There's no way Shueisha is going to want to acknowledge Takei, or his works, when he left the publisher on Jump's 50th Anniversary year, after decades of working together. That's a surefire way to become a non-entity in a publisher's eyes.

And yet My Hero Academia is conspicuously absent. Deku, Bakugo, and All Might would be perfect for this game!

They're revealing characters at the slowest pace (like a Snicker-snag, really).
There's no way that Deku, etc. won't be in the game.
And I know it's a celebration of the 40th anniversary of "Weekly Jump", but it would be cool to see characters from other "Jump" publications.
Or just characters from other series that I like heh

They are choosing by who is iconic in their respective series, so Piccolo is a most logical choice as is Cell who is the second most famous villain in Dragon Ball after Freeza. And honestly, I 'm glad that DB characters that aren't Goku, Vegeta and Freeza get to be in the spotlight here too.

And yet, no Gohan. I know he might be DLC, but I feel Gohan has been overlooked and underutilized ever since the Buu Saga.

I mean he did something in the Tournament of power. but judging from the new Broly movie it looks like Super is going back to being the Goku and Vegeta show

I’ve long accepted Gohan will never be relavent again & I no longer mind anymore which is why I have absolutely no problem if Gohan doesn’t appear in the Broly movie or in this game.
It’s time to move on & look to the future. Besides Piccolo is cooler anyway.
