Aside from the premise for a story couldn't be any simpler and less interesting, that title really annoys me.

That negative reaction to the show couldn't be any simpler and less interesting, but it doesn't annoy me. 
I've been concerned about the show because the idea of an American Idol-style one-on-one competition would seem to imply the main characters compete against each other. A Love Live clone with a team-based contest would be preferable to me, unless only the main character enters? But that seems unlikely.

Say what you want, you can't deny that naming something with random "Re", and even adding ":" are two signs the creativity is below the ass of a frog's.

This has surprisingly good music especially for something that's really is the typical idol anime, I might buy a few CDs at the end of the month. Hopefully the anime is good because there hasn't been an idol anime with an all loli cast that's successful.

Hundreds of hours of zero-creativity anime is made every year. How long do you plan to keep pointing out "Look, this is another one" each and every time? Ten years? Twenty years?
Terrible westaboo Engrish and associated trends are likewise very common. I'd say a lot of well-received anime has terrible English titles, but that's highly subjective, and difficult to evaluate after becoming accustomed to anime. I don't think I've ever seen an "Re" name that I liked, but it stopped bothering me after 2016. Pretty impressive that it still "really annoys" you.
