The five characters they introduced here don't even show up until volume 5 of the manga and the older woman doesn't show up until well after that. The first arc is a fairly large arc that is around 40 chapters long. So either they are going to absolutely rip through the first arc or this series has already been green lit for a good 2 or 3 seasons from the get go. Either way I am happy, this series has always been a personal favorite of mine that very little people know about. So I am seriously excited to watch the anime adaptation.

^^ If I'm not mistaken it's confirmed to be a 3 cour series (36-39 ep). Anyway, I really like what I'm seeing so far. Really love the old-school vibe it has

I just hope Amazon exclusivity, on this anime, won't hit its popularity if it ends up very good.

If they do it will be home video only since it is an Amazon exclusive.

Most of the anime streaming on Amazon have gone to Sentai, so I'd figure the same in this case especially since it's the same Japanese publisher that owns the IP. In the past Amazon sublicensed from Sentai and maybe that is still the case as several shows eventually made their way to HIDIVE (Made in Abyss, Princess Principal, etc)

That was an awesome trailer. BoC with another great song.
Unfortunate that Tasuku couldn't voice the MC. It would have been UtT all over again. Plus, Megumi's role makes it ironic. lol

It's getting 36 episodes, which isn't nearly enough to adapt a 43 volume manga unless they rush through it like crazy (or expect to get more seasons after this one.) I guess we'll see how they go about it. Personally I would prefer they tell the story properly even if it means they risk not getting to adapt the whole thing.
