Nice, finally a new Macross Delta movie. Now they just need to announce a date for the new tv anime. Didn't they announce it for this year? Won't make it in time for the fall season anymore though.

The Megaroad-01 story could be the main plot of the movie, as its fate is somehow connected to Delta events.

It's fantastic news! Too bad for all the haters
Yeah they did announce a new TV series for 2018 alongside the Macross Delta movie. With a second "all new" Delta movie announced it seems doubtful it'll happen anytime soon though. I actually wonder if perhaps, there weren't plans for a second serie of Macross Delta that mutated into a movie... -Sergorn |

Not really suprising considering that Walküre is still selling. Would be weird for Big West to switch to another musical act now.
I do hope they've switched screenwriters and bring someone in who can write a compelling plot and storyline. |

The great thing about Macross Delta is Walkure and the animation quality. The bad thing about Macross Delta is how poor the story became during its second half.

Delta might not have been, like, good, but I did like the characters and the music. If the movie has tighter writing then I’m all for it.

Delta s a tv show was meh, BUT THE VOCALS IN THIS GROUP ARE AMAZING!!! I'm so happy we're getting a new film and new songs!!! I love Walkure!! They are crazy talented as an idol group!! If the writing picks up in the movie then I will seriously be happy!!

Crossover concert is pretty awesome.. More Delta... not so much.
I am happy that a new TV series is coming out.. but if it's more Delta.. no thanks. |

I'm down for anything Macross related. Honestly, Delta wasn't as bad as people made it out to be, but I am curious as to what kind of movie they will make and how to continue the story.

Passionate Walkūre was better than the TV show imh. Finally a real introduction of the characters, improved pacing, correct writing overall... etc.
This time we got something to go along with the nice soundtracks. So I hope it will be a sequel to the movie. ^^ |

Yay! Even more Delta! So far, Delta has been my favorite Macross installment.
I'm also down for everything Macross, eventhough I've yet to watch the original Macross. But I do hope that the new Delta movie won't be another recap movie. Btw: I heard through the grapevine, there would be another Macross series. But all I know is somewhere this year... Any news on that? |
