My opinion follows...
I'm having a hard time with these series basing themselves on MMO's because I think they're just mad scrambling against very precise niche's to fill, and in that rush they're pushing what in some cases are okay stories but they're largely overshadowed by too many expected cliche's. I lump these series into similar ideas like Another World w/ My Cellphone (it's not MMO but plays out in that manner) and also series like And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online. It's fan-service, ecchi, harems, or something or another. It's almost like they're trying to grab into the fandom left by SAO, but go about it in varying ways that leave the result being very polarizing. I've read a lot of people comparing this to Overlord and I can see similarities in the initial premise but where Demon Lord is going a bit different is it's focusing on the MC helping some immediate characters rather than an MC that seemingly tries to help EVERYONE. Overlord had it's ecchi moments as well but they're no where on the level Demon Lord is. That said it's still very difficult to overlook the ecchi factor in Demon Lord because it's just soooooooooo in your face. Plus for the episodes so far ecchi elements are used as minor plot (har har...) devices for the MC. They probably didn't have to be there, but they're there. Remember also we still have an entire sub-set of MMORPG type stories that haven't even had the surface scratched. The whole idea of reincarnating as a low level monster has permeated a lot of recent series as of late and we're still head strong into the monster girl genre. |

So it was almost nuked or a grand total of 2-3 seconds of barely covered boobs, yet graphically violent anime montages are still up, hmmm...

Youtube is somewhat random in terms of what videos get labeled as mature content and it seems to depend a lot on the employee who reviews the video.

it gets removed from suggestions and age-gated to 18, as if it were porn. Were to contain actual nudity, not covered up breasts like this video, it most likely would've been removed, if deemed salacious by the reviewer. It also counts as a strike against the uploader if they didn't age-gate themselves on upload and had it flagged like it was here. The message will be different in the former case. It's ironic because Japanese publishers do their best to prevent that age gate on youtube, otherwise it restricts how much exposure it gets and forces signing in to view, and they think the rules are clear and non-subjective but get a guideline violation strike anyways because they thought covering up breasts and not showing nipples would be enough. Just another example to show how sensitive the mainstream is in the US and other differences that is relevant to the previous Answerman (whose answer I disagreed with) |

Okay so apparently people misunderstand how Youtube works. I've had an account since 2005 (under a different name than this). I had VERY tame videos of trees and such flagged as inappropriate. Videos of my dog walking. A video of myself playing guitar (no singing) was even flagged. Trolls being trolls. As with most issues on Youtube, it's due to their crappy automated system. This system is one of their oldest and worst. Very few things are actually reviewed by humans. If it was flagged for something like exploiting children, a human would get involved. Most things are automated and use keywords, which is why there's so many innocent videos that get punished. Basically if someone reports the video as inappropriate for underage people, it will be flagged as "This video may be inappropriate for some users." There's no way to appeal this. If it was flagged for copyright and such, you can appeal but "inappropriate for some users" still, to do this day, 13 years later, has no way to counter. If it was reported for displaying violence or exploitation of children, a human would've checked it out and deleted the video entirely. |

Well, maybe youtube has a recent anti-anime crusade atm, as one of our bigger anime promoters got flagged for old content today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz72Hg6PsEQ
This is also something that keeps happening to all the bigger creators, or so I believe I saw earlier, where they get demonetized (not the same as age restrict) over doing visual novels let's plays on youtube of anime games. It has basically become impossible as the artistic direction of adult flat chested ladies being lewded (like, many adult Asians ARE flat chested) are quite common, but where Western media seem to not be able to comprehend such scenarios of cultural clashes even if it doesn't violate any laws (of course it doesn't, because if it did they would never have been able to sell them in the first place, where even most of these are on non-porn "consoles" like the PS Vita or the Steam Store). That said, I believe this whole youtube thing is fairly random where trolls report, and then you have moderators with no idea about the medium just going "I see Chinese cartoons, those weebs sure are weird and need to correct their ways" and as such has no standards to speak of in regards to getting strikes removed. |

Obviously this anime/novel is really just Overlord poor man's version...the fan service and constant echhi keeps its popularity up.
And lets not talk about the fake "Uncensored/Censored". |

Not really. Is the same to as saying that Overlord is just a different version of SAO. Even if Overlord and Isekai Maou to Shoukan look the same at the first look, they are complete different. Both are lost in the MMORPG Isekai class, but are different after that, Overlord is more based on battles and strategy and world building and have some fan-service. Isekai Maou to Shoukan is based in romance, comedy, echii, fan-service and have some battles. They are aimed at a different audience. Who are the best of the 2? All depends of what you want to read/watch. If you prefer action and battles and world building, than Overlord is the best for you and Isekai Maou to Shoukan is just another boring generic echhi harem isekai. If you want comedy, echii, romance with a bit of action, than Isekai Maou to Shoukan is the best for you and Overlord is just another boring generic battle action isekai. As in every anime/LN all depends what you want to watch/read. In my opinion, both are great, but as different as apples and oranges, you just can't compare them. |
