Those are a couple of nice and sexy visuals. Looking forward to this anime.

Yeah, please no Little Witch Academia/Uma Musume/BanG Dream twist and curve balls.

Also reminds me of Two Car when it comes into this topic, the awful show that featured two of the worst duo ever as the protagonist, both of which has little to no redeeming quality worthy of mentioning, other than the fact that those two are in lust of their male teacher and fought head over heel for him. Why the studio even thought that designing such characters are any good, completely escaped my ability to express a definite answer. I also recalled the teacher having no presence whatsoever in the promotional video back then, which is a bridge burner, and cast him aside on episode 1, only to spoiler[have him returned later on.] At any rate, it was one massive flop, either in sales and reception. But Harukana Receive seems like it's going to hit the spotlight. If it doesn't, there's a lot of summer anime that also starred female protagonist.

I think that's because I complained about male characters as well back when Bang Dream male side was announced.

Two Car tried to be another yuribait like Hibike Euphonium and Little Witch Academia and it was a total (side)carwreck. It was really bad but it pretty much killed its chances of making a few bucks when the male coach and the two MCs' feelings for him were revealed. Hopefully, Harukana Receive will be a totally different story. This is shaping up to be good. Also, if you are interested in watching Hanebad for the yuri, forget it. It almost looks like Two Car with badminton. You can watch it for the cute girls and anything other than yuri.

BanG Dream is a great series but it is a shame that it is operated by a bunch of slimy, greedy, backstabbing scumbags who has no qualms changing the foundation the series was built on without giving a though about their core fanbase, all for the sake of money.

Yeah, if it got no yuri, I don't really mind, or there's even some prominent male characters around, as long as it doesn't go into romance territory, because I'm tired of the straight type. I was planning on watching Hanebado and been keeping up with updates regarding it so I knew what to expect but thanks for the head up.

To tell the truth, right after hearing speculations that they wouldn't mix the two side together, I was calmer, hence why I didn't bother replying again after my last sentiment in that thread, then again, I'm not that good in coming up with arguments, and I've always realized that me hoping for shows like this to always kept focusing on the females and not giving two cent about male is selfish but that's the thing, I can't really avoid thinking like this since it's my preference. Of course, I could always just like tried my best not to ruin other's fun for my own crap but since this is an online forum and I really got little to no buddy around that I could share my displeasure with, well, here I am. Not stating I am in disagreement with your conduct of course, John, as I could see where you're coming from. I don't like yuribait or male self insert either, as I'm merely just stating my piece in this.

So it wasn’t just me getting that vibe, except in my case, it happens almost every single time? Whew, okay, glad to see that.

Besides that, these visuals look appealing, though not quite exactly in a way that I was expecting it to be, but it’s all good either way. Summer is currently looking to be fun with this, Overlord III, Happy Sugar Life, and several others.

I do not buy the Bushiroad boss' claim at all. He most likely said that as a lame damage control excuse because he did not expect the male version to have such negative reception. If the girl and boy projects are two different universes, then why are they sharing the same name? That boy band project should be better off being its own entity instead of being a spin-off of another entity.

I am at least content they stopped lumping Kancolle in with 'there was a dude in my yuri soup' rants.

I see this competing against another sports show this summer, but I feel this one will be the superior specimen.

It's not speculation but a fact that the two series won't be mixed. It was stated that they 100% won't mix and honestly it makes no sense to lose a majority of the fan base by mixing them. Also for this show according to MAL there are only females in the character list for the manga. I don't really know how reliable that is but they also only show the same girls on the character list for the official anime page.

Kancolle had no male characters.

Black hair had flat chest and A cup is becoming one of my favorite bust sizes in characters lately but I'll give it a shot despite not having watched a lot of Kirara titles.

I am very skeptical on that part. That does not seem to be a fact at all. Separating them is not enough because they still both have BanG Dream as their names and the series will still lose its fans because it is no longer the BanG Dream that they once knew. Bushiroad is like one of those companies that are willing to offend the fans by changing things so they can get more money. Again, the boy project should be better off as its own entity instead of being a spin-off of another entity.

That makes things better but it is better to expected getting suckered when the show airs. I do not want this show to pull off the same garbage that BanG Dream just did.
