Wait until the OP gets wind of the awful disaster that is the super-secret route. JPN YOI fandom is up in arms and going after Yume100 hard, so you know it's bad. Apparently there's dialogue that the Japanese fans (that is the bulk of the fandom of Yume100) as racist. Note that the script was handled by Yume100 and has no link to MAPPA staff including Sayo and Kubo except for the permission to do the collaboration.

^Yeah, Japanese fans are saying things like "why would you do this kind of thing" and "what made you think this would make players happy", and complaining about how the story is betraying the YOI characters and how some of the dialogues are racist or feel like sexual harrassment. There seems to be no response from the Yume100 twitter account in regards to the complaints though

Hmmm... an anime made for fujoshi gets a collab with a smart phone game made for fujoshi so they made the character pander extra to fujoshi. I don't get that response. It would be like asking why FGO characters talk about breast size... uh, well... |

>smartphone game made for fujoshi See, this is where I once again have to say this: fujoshi does not mean all female otaku. Fujoshi specifically means fans of BL (boys love). Yume100 caters to a different kind of female otaku called yumejoshi or fans of bishies but not fans of shipping said bishies together (fujoshi). So no, Yume100 is not a game that caters to fujoshi. I know it seems like a petty thing but too many western fans think fujoshi=all female otaku and that is not the case at all. |

It's definitely not petty to ask someone to not use inaccurate information based on stereotypes. Moreover, it's clear from their comment that this person hasn't watched the show carefully or paid attention to the show's reception in Japan and outside of it if they think it was made for one category of fans or that's who ended up loving it. Research into sales of actual BL (btw YOI is not BL, a genre which is aimed primarily at fujoshi, but a sports anime with an incidental, slow-burn queer romance) sales vs. YOI's sales figures will show that the people buying actual BL BDs were far smaller than those who picked up copies of YOI. I will say that a YOI collab probably brought in YOI fans who might identify as fujoshi as well as yumejoshi YOI fans (probably a much smaller number considering Y/V, but difficult to know I admit), as well as queer and other fans who would not identify as either yumejoshi or fujoshi, such as fudanshi. All these types of fans might unite over what is considered OOC; I can't see Victor being racist would please most YOI fans however they identify, considering how beloved Victor and Yuuri are. |

Ok not sure how accurate this fan translation is but sweet Jesus H. Christ on a holy pogo stick; this is cruel! Why are Victor and Yurio super mean to my Yuuri??!? I get Yurio because...Yurio but I would never imagine the real Victor treating his fiance like absolute sh*t.
 does the creator of this just hate Yuuri or something???

Hi! I have been playing the game and so far it has been respectful towards Yuuri and Victor’ Relationship because unlike other routes there is no romantic undertones with the mc (player) even there is a part in which Victor breaks a spell on Yuuri (who turned into Katsudon) by kissing him and is later revealed by the mc that only a kiss from the person you love can break the spell, what japanese playera are angry about is the last bonus where Victor and Yurio were mean to Yuuri, here is a thread I found explaining it https://twitter.com/toratoramin/status/968548500932907013 |

*facepalm* omg. This is very uncomfortable fetus 5D Victor is not our kink. I'm not playing Yume100 anymore but the only crossover they messed up slightly was Black Butler(Undertaker' awakening form was a minor spoiler for non manga readers) the rest is a mess. I cant stop laughing at Victor's lines. Russia's living legend's perfect image ruined lol.
