So this turned out to be an anime after the tease.

I expect censors unless it has an AT-X version (light novel has a lot of fan service)

Oh lord bless, although I did read the source materials but I am almost certain the premise along will give some people fits.

No worries guys, it’s actually a lot more fluffy and harmless (minus a bit of light fan service) than you think Wink yeah, as absurd as that sounds (the novels I mean, I have not read the manga adaptation)

Based off the description and comment it sounds like it's going to be more light hearted and comical rather than serious. If that is the case I'll definitely be looking forward to this.

It's somewhat comical, but it also has a number of serious elements. In general this follows the initial premise of Overlord, with a veteran player getting summoned into another world. In this case, Diablo is a social recluse who covers up his shitty people skills with by LARPing as a Demon Lord, and the world he's summoned to (by two young adventurer girls) is like a real version of the game he played, except that because people actually die in this world, most people are fairly weak compared to him.

It's kinda trashy, but I enjoy it.

I picked up the first novel of this by chance and read it like a week ago, and it was fairly enjoyable!
It should make a fun anime. Smile

It's trashy, but it's not that bad.
I'm still surprised this gets chosen for an anime though. Now I'm curious about how the story develops. I guess I should catch up with the novels.

With that many volumes out, it sounds like we might get at least 22 episodes. If it is the standard 12-13 series, then we may get 2-3 series with that amount.

I’ve seen people before say that this series isn’t as bad as it sounds (It’s happening again here) and now I’m inclined to believe them with this news. I’ll have to see the staff and a PV before I decide to watch this or not.

It kind of takes a premise that, on the surface, sounds like all kinds of NOPE, but it handles it with far less malice than series like say Queen's Blade or that ilk does, and it quickly departs from the squicky hentai potential and (edit: typically) settles at To-LOVE-Ru levels of ecchi (edit: I just remembered what happened in the latest manga chapter, so I felt like an edit was deserved Surprised). There are a lot of other light novels that just insert softcore porn into the typical "isekai overpowered male high schooler" setting, though, so wariness is understandable.

Almost finished with the second English novel with J-Novel, and I really like it. Everyone said Death March was going to be good, but so far the anime has been incredibly clunky and hasn't grabbed my attention very much. I'm looking forward to this anime very much.

truly such a great and original premise going on here. i'm sure the comedy will be clever and the characters will be well-written and endearing. the animation and music will also be a treat, I'm sure. My favorite things are anime girls making faces and noises while an easily relate-able self-insert hero gropes them. i hope there is a hotsprings scene where i can see everyone's flawless, barbie-like bodies obscured by mist. i hope the OP has a jpop song where the characters dance a little before standing on a reflected sky. really looking forward to this one.

going to go have sex with my hug pillow and fall asleep for another 16 hours

Make more Isekai anime to turn haters like Nyron and Ermat away from the medium! Twisted Evil

I'm not an Isekai fan, but I seriously hate people who complain endlessly about the genre. I mean if you don't like it, don't watch or read about it.

i personally love isekai shows

i love watching the same things over and over with no variance because it makes me feel safe

i love naked anime girls who don't have personalities beyond the most basic archetypes. real girls who have wants and needs scare me, and even caricatures in anime with even the smallest story arcs detract from the show

i love self-insert main characters that are like heroes i made up when i was 10, it makes me feel like i could be a LN author if not for my crippling depression and incompetence

i love fantasy shows where the setting has absolutely no thought put into it, i'm there for the cute girls anyway
