Episode 0 is pretty good. It has an interesting plot and the characters are likable. Eiji's voice really reminds me of Noby's voice in the Japanese version of Doraemon 2005. My only flaws about the episode are the semi-sluggish pacing and Pochiro constantly ending his sentences with "pochi". I'm used to verbal tics, but when a character already has a super high pitched voice, combining that with a verbal tic irks me. Nonetheless, I'm intending on watching the full show next year.
Also, I thought I'd mention that according to this tweet on Twitter (https://twitter.com/IMissBionix/status/933117971131785217), Dentsu is already starting to seek potential international buyers for the franchise, which is great. Hopefully, it eventually sees a Western release. |
