I hope he's able to make a full recovery and (safely) return to work in the near future. I do worry that some of these ill seiyuu have found themselves pushed back to the microphone before they're in working condition - Keiji Fujiwara's perfomance in BBB&B sounded a bit off to me (though that could just be a side effect of his hiatus) and I was shocked when they announced they'd be sticking Yoshimasa Hosoya in a leading role almost immeadiately after he announced his return following throat problems. (I'm somewhat relieved Dances with Dragons was rescheduled to Spring as I hope this gives him a bit more of a chance to rebuild his stamina and not wear his voice out when it's only just got back into shape.)
Although this does make me curious what happened given he was set to do roles for the upcoming winter block. I hope it's nothing too serious at any rate. (Also I wonder if this will affect his work for the upcoming FFVII remake at all? Assuming it actually does come out in 2018, I wonder if they have all his lines as Rufus Shinra recorded or if they might require someone to fill in for him? Though that's a very calm role so I guess it wouldn't be impossible for him to still record for that. Something like Sengoku Basara's Tokugawa Ieyasu however is no doubt out of the question...)

Very unfortunate for this to happen. I hope Toru recovers and comes back at 110%.

Wishing him well. He replaced Sengoku from One Piece when the previous actor passed away.

Are there any sources for these voices being credited for Pokemon? There are a lot of VA's credited to voice random pokemon when most of them just have computerized crys and the sources all just lead to random pictures of the pokemon or their Bulbapedia page which says nothing about them.

I was wondering that as well. I just read yesterday that Kenji Nomura did the voices for Charjabug and Vikavolt in the Sun & Moon games, which I found out. And Vikavolt hasn't appeared in the anime yet, so that's out of question.

I hope that it isn't anything too serious, and that he has a swift recovery.
