But what about the Hunter x Hunter manga come back in january? Or the one-shot by Tite Kubo for Jump? This JT article explains all the longlist entries into the competition (might be behind a paywall) Enjo specifically refers to social media backlashes & I think normally means going up in flames, so I guess an English equivalent would be firestorm. For the lazy: Kemono Friends - obvious Enjo - firestorm, mostly linked to a number of "controversial" (mostly sexist) adverts Youtuber - obvious Touken Ranbou - obvious First - As I understand it, saying you put X first has become somewhat of a meme since Trump & then Koike started doing it, Premium Friday - A half arsed attempt to convince Japanese workers to go home early on the last Friday of each month. It failed. Kyōbōzai - Refers to an amendment to the "anti-conspiracy" law that got ramrodded through the Diet this year. Hand Spinner - Fidget Spinner J-Alert - The impending threat warning system that this year mostly refers to N. Korean missile launches. Insta-bae - Something you've just gotta upload to Instagram. |

Thank you. I sent them a tip last year but I never got any answer and they never made an article (it was about the Blu Ray release of Berserk 2016 uncensored with comparitions with the censored version). |
