FF XII returns and hits 100k on the dot. Gundam Versus tho. GTA V continues to head to 400k.

Dat New 2DS.

Oh man, I was hoping that at least on japan Ever Oasis would have some more love, but it bombed so hard... Sighs. I'm still 4/5 trough it, but apart from some lack of polishment, it's been a long time since i've had such fun with a single title. I hope this doens't burries the IP.

lol TZA did worse than Type-0 HD and only sold a fraction of what X|X-2 HD did (~350k FW).

Did Gundam Versus bomb THIS HARD or is it just a typo? I know the game wasn't THAT well received in Japan because of the lack of units in comparison to previous games but such a massive drop is quite shocking.

Listing only accounted for 3 days of sales while both had a full week also Type-0 came bundled with a demo for FFXV (it only sold 10k more in its first week) and the X|X-2 HD remasters were ported to the VITA as well as the PS4 while TZA is only for PS4. Given that sales tracking had it at 50k it exceeded expectations.

It is a typo actually. The total from last week is fixed now. Thanks!

Just you wait until next week, when Splatoon 2 will barrel into the charts like a train.

Even if there might not be an Ever Oasis 2, Grezzo should be fine, at least. They've been making bank with Flower Town. I have no idea what the budget is for this game either, but it comes across as a low-key release and would be an indie game were it not for Grezzo's previous partnership with Nintendo for the latter game. (I looked at Grezzo's gameography--this is their first flop.)

Most new IPs, in any medium, won't succeed though, so while a bummer, it's ultimately not that surprising. But at the very least, at AX, I did find two people I StreetPassed who had it as their last played game.
