Who do you think will license this? I bet Viz Media will. When do you guys think it will come out? I bet either Fall 2017 or Winter 2018.

Not gonna lie..this actually looks promising. Let's also be fair, it's just the promo art, of course it will look good. But still.

I'm betting Viz will also and Fall '17 seems a little early. Maybe Winter '18 or Spring '18. So excited for it nonetheless!

That one episode or OVA I watched was pretty good.

Crunchyroll will probably stream it either way. It would probably depend on whether or not it is a long-running show or a set number of episodes (e.g. Twin Star Exorcists and elDLIVE). If the former, I guess Viz, and if the latter, I guess Funimation.

Viz basically only has One-Punch Man, JoJo, and Boruto currently. I'm surprised they didn't grab Twin Star Exorcists and elDLIVE. However if Promised Neverland ever gets an anime, I bet Funimation will license it.

I do not know about Viz Media licensing this show, as honestly I have a feeling that FUNimation is going to license Black Clover. They usually license the big well-known titles that could be the next big hit for their licenses (Dragon Ball Z, Fairy Tail, One Piece, My Hero Academia). In addition thanks to their new partnership with Crunchyroll, you can bet that Crunchy will license the series in a blink of an eye and put the series in subbed, while Funimation does the dubbing, so it's a win win for both ends.
Personally Viz Media's focus currently right now is mainly on their Manga department, with anime as their secondary focus, although unlike FUNimation, Sentai, and ANIPLEX, Viz usually license in between 1-3 anime titles a year. At the same time their attention on anime series right now is on Naruto/Boruto, One-Punch Man, Sailor Moon, Hunter x Hunter, and JoJo, so they might want to pass on this series to focus on their biggest anime franchises and let Funimation/Crunchyroll get it.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if Viz Media will license this show, just like they licensed One-Punch Man, and Hunter x Hunter back in 2015, but I'll offer my two cents on that.
Here is the rundown on Viz Media's anime licenses from 2014 to 2017:
1. 2014: The original Sailor Moon Uncut and Sailor Moon Crystal, Doraemon - 3
2. 2015: The Sequel to K, One-Punch Man, and Hunter x Hunter - 3, 2 if you count OPM and HxH
3. 2016: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable and the rest of the JoJo's anime series, Terra-Formars - 2
4. 2017: Boruto - 1 (so far yet)

Exactly, the show could go either way if it is a long runner, maybe Viz Media, if it is a 12-13 episode series then most likely Funimation/Crunchyroll will license the show.

Does anyone else keep reading that as "Black Lover"? I've been reading the manga since the start, and I STILL keep seeing the title like that.

I would LOVE a Promised Neverland anime. It has a lot of potential to be really good too, and definitely something different from your usual anime fare. (Personally, the current arc is faltering, but I think it's because the previous arc ended in such a spectacular fashion that it's a tough act to follow.)

Don't forget they also recently licensed Sailor Moon and Crystal, along with Hunter x Hunter, and Terra-Formars. It will depend on Viz if they are interested in licensing this show since their prime focus is their manga department and the other anime franchises they already licensed.

I wanna project Promised Neverland to get an anime in 2019 (Late 2018 if we're lucky) when the manga gets over 100 chapters.

I haven't read the manga yet, but I know it is popular, I would guess around Winter or Spring 2019. I do not think The Promised Neverland would be a long runner, I think it would be seasonal like MHA.

Teaser visual is nice, but it's going to be the episode count that makes it or breaks it for me. If they're taking the My Hero Academia approach, I'll probably give it a shot. But if there's going to be a lot of filler, I'll pass.

You and me both! I think it's less a question of if and more a question of when, given its popularity. End of the first arc would make a perfect season finale, so I'm expecting a potential anime adaptation announcement next year. (or at least no later than 2019)
