Okay, that was a pretty cool opening. Great use of color and some slick transitions and cuts. Even the cg is solid. But lets hope the show is able to live up to it.

About the only bright side I can see to fully 3dcg anime becoming more and more prevalent is that I will have more expendable income, seeing as how I'll never spend a dime on it.

What a cancer.

Was it made in 1980's or something? Graphic and animations are retarded.

The opening sequence does look pretty cool. I am glad that the show is going for a different kind of approach, closer to action/adventure in space than what was (suspiciously) suggested by the earlier video. They're also hinting that the series may address some interesting science fiction themes with that first shot of the newspaper.

As someone who grew up watching Japanese anime and U.S. cartoons from that period, I can honestly say your statement is simply inaccurate. You're free to dislike 3D graphics, that's a valid personal preference, but that doesn't justify making utterly random statements.

That's quite an extreme position, because there has been measurable progress in that field in terms of shading as well as filters and modeling, but I understand that some people just will never accept 3D anime. It's a shame, because you'll miss out on interesting shows like Aijin and the Expelled from Paradise film.

Man, I thought this was fine. It's too bad to see such knee-jerk reactions here. Confused

Well...I liked Sanzigen's recent work on Bubuki Buranki and this looks like it could be similar in terms of visual quality, in the sense that some of the shots can almost pass for 2D from certain angles. I recall that the first PV showed a nice range of expressions on the faces, so I am not too worried about the CGI. I've seen worse, like in the new Berserk series.

I am also looking forward to the story since Yosuke Kuroda can be a pretty good scriptwriter most of the time. Here's hoping it's more like the original Gundam Build Fighters and less like Try.

I hope it looks better than promo. I think will come down to the substance of the beast that will see if this wins my money in the long run. There been bad anime back in the day as well good one. I dislike CGI but it's what is now. No one does it by hand, given the tools and the cost to it the old way who'd want go back to it?

ID-0 story will be thing that makes it or breaks it i think.

I think the opening was quite nicely done. Very curious what this show is going to be like once the surface stuff is set up.

Didn't expect Netflix for this one.

Same here, Bubuki Buranki ended up pretty awesome to me and kept getting better as the story reveals came. I thought they did a great job on the visuals improving on past CG animation with the action and more expressive characters and with the eye-catching art design and color work (thanks to Kill la Kill's art director) and agree that some sequences really got to a great level. So if they keep going from there I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully the story has enough "meat" to push them to keep improving it.

Agreed, I really like the staff they have for this, I've liked plenty of Kuroda shows so I'm hopeful for the story here and I really like Taniguchi, and Murata and Ebikawa's art as well.
