Man, a whole bunch of TV anime on a giant movie theater screen is going to look horrendous.

"Nanbaka, Bungo Stray Dogs, Bloodivores, and Soul Buster."
This has to be the funniest thing I have seen all week. Only the best titles! |

If it doesn't get distribution near where I live this won't mean anything to me neat concept but if it's just going to be TV Anime on a Theater Screen I'll pass.

What a trashy trailer. Why on earth would you pick Bloodivores and Soul Buster as the shows for a promo trailer?

I could understand if they were to quarterly screen anime films, old and new, big and niche - but regular episodes blown up on the big screen :S

There seem to be a big push in promoting Chinese "Anime." Considering how China is such a bastion of creative freedom and artistic craftsmanship, it seem to be going well. Also the founder of Crunchyroll, Kun Gao, is Chinese, so that might help explain why Crunchyroll have been pushing these types of shows. yeah... kind of weird choices there. I was legitimately hoping it was going to be things like Garakowa, or other movies that CR has in their library, or hope to get in the future that we really haven't had released yet. |

Going by the posts, it appears that the prevalent theory is that they are Chinese productions.

Um, so they aren't even stand alone movies, they're TV anime movies? And ones noted for being terrible?
Hard pass thanks. |

Except every single one has been an absolute disaster and rank among the worst anime of their given season. On a different note i was hoping this would be CR announcing they are going to push to bring over more anime movies because it would be great to be able to see things like A Silent Voice and the Kizumonogatari movies legally and not a year after they start screenings in Japan. |

They clearly want to get in on Funi and Viz's limited Fathom-screening business, but...those were MOVIES. Of highly-promoted mainstream-series features or big theatrical films that we were looking forward to. And that had already been made to play big screens in Japan. |
