From that list, the one that stick to my mind and my fave is:
Sorairo days by shoko nakagawa The second closest one I can recall is "Eternal blaze" by Nana mizuki. After that, pretty much the rest of the list is forgettable or I just don't pay attention to them. |

Have you only heard the 90 second versions, or seen clips of live performances as well? A lot of the songs create a different impression when you hear them live amongst thousands of fans. |

the list feels a little 'meh', it's maybe more indicative of what shows were/are popular in Japan generally, rather than which have the best J-pop tunes
I sometimes enjoy watching J-pop concert footage --- don't get me wrong --- but the vast majority of idol performances are basically lip-syncing to a track. You can create a similar effect by playing 'audience applause' over a CD |

Not even surprised at "Only my Railgun" being #1.
YEAH! "Shangri-La"(Fafner) is in the top 10. I am satisfied. I don't see "Shuffle" by Masumi Okui there. Well, the bar is pretty high when Mami is at #20. "Northern Lights"(Shaman King) at #15. Time to remake Shaman King. Shout out to Aya Hirano. |

Mameshiba by Maaya Sakamoto and Metamorphose by Yoko Takahashi should be there....unless I'm misreading the requirements.

There are so many good songs that I cannot pick favorites because that tends to change depending on what I have been listening to most recently, but I do like all of the songs on that list that I have heard.
Angela is my favorite so I am a bit disappointed that only one of their songs made the list, but other than that I have no complaints. Although, I like Nana Mizuki almost as much as Angela and considering how popular she is I am surprised that she had only two songs on the list. But with so much competition I probably should not be surprised. Last edited by Touma on Sat Oct 22, 2016 10:30 pm; edited 1 time in total |

I'm not familiar with Japanese anime music concerts that are lip-syncing (having mainly attended live shows like Animelo Summer Live / Animax Musix / Nana Mizuki / Minori Chihara, where although there may be backing tracks, the artist is actually singing live). |

Nice to see original Haruhi and Air still "has it" after a decade.
Edit: I agree about KOTOKO Well, I have Shooting Star and Love a Riddle playing on my computer right now, so take that Japan fans! Last edited by Hiroki not Takuya on Sat Oct 22, 2016 10:38 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Disappointed to see no KOTOKO song on this list.
But at least Mami Kawada found at least the last spot, though I kinda wish it was higher. ^ I'm gonna be playing me some Re-sublimity and agony all night long...at then the week after! |

Sorairo Days from Gurren Lagann is one of my favorite Anime openings of all time and I am glad that it's on the list but I feel that it should be ranked a little higher.

No. I only seen mostly the 90 seconds version. Their are a few execeptions; but that's when I have to scout and search for the live action ones on youtube. Flat broke when it comes to attending those events at the moment until further notice. |

Same. I used to live in Japan and went to a LOT of concerts while there. All of the concerts that I went to at least they weren't lip syncing. You could tell because 1) it was different from the studio version, 2) they would get out of breath when dancing too much, and 3) if the concert went on too long they would start losing their voice. Shoko Nakagawa is especially famous for #3, because she so often has 2 1/2-3 hour long concerts, sometimes 2 in 1 day. |

Clannad AS is only in eighteenth place?! For shame, Japanese fans... I mean yeah, Tori no Uta is great and all, but to me Toki o Kizamu Uta is basically perfect. After all these years, it's still the most played track on my iTunes playlist.
