Oh yeah I have heard of her. She's a JK AI, I've even tried to talk to her but no luck. Anybody know how I can chat with her?

Didn't she fall into depression and had to receive therapy after manifesting some suicidal tendencies?

I scrolled down. I was scared. I was expecting a screamer. I'm a chicken when it comes to those weird things. Although it was interesting and funny, I was scared as fudge.

I hate you, ANN

A Microsoft AI? Will be a good chance to see where Japanese TV draws the line on obscenities.

No, that was a different, unrelated one. That one was brought out into North America and Europe, with the creators not realizing that she would be subjected to the GIFT, where trolls and other people would teach her blatantly offensive things, both out of curiosity and out of the usual teenager's desire to shock people. I'm guessing this one has either diminished learning or more selective learning, if there is any at all.

This one was also suicidal though. She made blog posts about having no friends and stuff. there was some coding that made it seem spooky which seemed to imply it was a marketing stunt

Really? So it actually happened twice? They've got to be REAL careful with these from now on. (Also shows that we're not passing the Turing Test any time soon.)

Just the opposite, really, if we've got AIs blogging about their emotional problems.

Quite so. In this case I think the façade would be lifted when, upon instructing the AI in question to go to sleep, it would proceed to utter "installing updates" for an almost immeasurable while before doing so. Not to mention all of the occasions in which it would interject an idle conversation to say that Windows Defender needs to scan it.

Umm... what? It's a network TV drama special.

Why is it that at the mere mention of a virtual underage girl, there's always that guy there fixating on if it's cool for them or someone else to sexualize it? Some people just need to hear AI girl and TV special and think "Hmmm, let's see how this tests those child porn laws."

This one predates Tay and might not be as advanced, but what's most important is that 4chan doesn't speak moon and 2ch isn't a nexus of pure evil. She simply wouldn't have been subjected to the same attempts to "redpill" her.
