This case will eventually be dropped, given what ANN said about the update.

That's not trespassing LOL. That's asking permission. If anything, I would charge people money for that....

A dumb move on Niantic's part for not anticipating people would be doing things like this. Why not have the warnings at the start?

What is this?? This sap is just looking for a big pay day. He was just clearly annoyed from kids asking him to go in his backyard.

An interesting thought, is it trespass if you place a virtual object on someone's property without their permission?
For the most part I think people will just laugh and go on, but someone is going to take that to a judge who may issue an injunction to Niantic saying "no go" on this property, or with the right judge it might be "no go" for a City or even a State. Talk about a mess.

The compensation part of the lawsuit...I think there a huge chance that he'll lose since Niantic did put a disclaimer warning Pokémon GO players against trespassing to catch Pokémon. Plus, it isn't trespassing if one is requesting reasonable access to a homeowner's property.

This evokes a certain actor holding a certain gun reciting a certain phrase along the lines of: "Get off my lawn"

Also, you people wouldn't lend your bathroom to and indigent if he came and knocked on your door asking for it, so don't even try to excuse this as some kind of innocent thing.

Company really should of thought of that to be honest. I'd be annoyed if people came to my door for Pokemon, heck I get annoyed at people coming to the house in general rofl.
Yes, I know, I sound like a grumpy person. But that's not the point.
They really gotta sort themselves out though. Honestly, I'm surprised more people haven't tried getting a lawsuit against them given what people can be like.

Seriously?! The guy should be damn happy that the people actually ASKED him for permission to come on to his lawn instead of illegally trespassing like those kids did at the zoo and other places. I'd much rather deal with that then having to constantly call the police because people keep entering without consent. -___-;
