We need less like that and more like the TV series.from 2001, which was fun, adventurous, and dramatic all at once.

As long as I get my Joe x Francoise scenes despite it being CG then I'm good.

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought when I saw 007 on that poster was "Saitama"?

If this gets license I hope the use the same English dub cast they did for the 009 Re Cyborg film.

While I don't often agree with you, I do agree with it being crap in terms of graphics.

I watched the first movie after coming off the TV series, and it was laughably bad. Felt like someone was making a parody of the original material. I can't believe they would make three more of these.

I wonder if they'll use the same cast from Re:Cyborg for the Cyborgs? Or are they going to recast them all again like with the Devilman crossover ?
If nothing else, I like the redesigns and the teaser trailer was cool.

I'm a little disappointed that this and the American comic book reboot from a couple years back both ditched Jet Link's pointy nose and red hair. I thought they were part of his charm.
My only real frame of reference for this series is the version that ran on Toonami, but I'd really like to see more. And yes! More Joe x Francoise moments. I shipped them pretty hard back in the day.

Hopefully, it's not anything like Re;Cyborg. That was awful and I'm normally one to love all Cyborg 009 material.
Really wish Bee and Actas were getting another go at it; 009 vs Devilman was amazing.

Yeah, I quite like the character designs. There's definitely an oldsy charm to the original ones, and even the 2001 designs, but I like the update such that they fit in with modern anime.
Can't really say much for the story, except that it's kind of weird to have these consecutive parts like this. Sounds like you're paying three movie tickets for one story.

Not sure how I feel about the power armor look for the characters. I think the jacket looked better. Either way I'm excited to see more Cyborg 009. Fingers crossed the films are good.

I'd argue it's 2/3 of a good movie. The part where the film hit its head and woke up thinking it was Ghost in the Shell was where they lost me.

I just hope Kamiyama has gotten all of that metaphysical crap out of his system after 009 Re:Cyborg, and that he can actually do something satisfying with these upcoming films. As it stands, I'm still waiting for the guy who directed GitS: SAC, Moribito and Eden of the East to come back.

Personally I'm not hyped for this but since this Cyborg 009 related I would LOVE for a company to pick up the 2001 series and finally release the ENTIRE series like it was planned to years ago.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new character designs, which hearken back to the re:Cyborg crapfest.
