It was only right that The Pillows returned and I'm excited AF!
So glad Sadamoto returns as well. Couldn't imagine FLCL looking differently. |

Very glad to hear this. I was skeptical of how good this sequel would be after hearing almost none of the original staff would be working on it, but knowing the music and character design will be similar gives me hope that the sequel will retain at least some of the feel of the original.

Just The Pillows coming back to do the soundtrack ALONE makes this one of my highly anticipated anime shows in a LONG time. Their music helped drive the series' mood and craziness. I CANNOT wait for this to release.

To be fair, Motohiro is the Chief Director of Season 1 and the movie, which are generally well regarded. He, like Urobuchi, barely had any involvement in Season 2 as he was tied up working on the movie at the time. And he's only supervising FLCL anyways. We still don't know who the director will be. |

Previously it seemed that he WAS going to be the director with Tsurumaki (original series director) being the supervisor, either the positions have been reported unclearly or roles have been switched around. Interesting.

Great news, but I'm still afraid for this because sequels are almost never as good, and FLCL was iconic. Maybe if they smoke a lot of weed like last time...?

NOW I'm excited for this. If The Pillows wouldn't return I could hardly call it FLCL. They're my favorite band and FLCL introduced me to them. SO glad they're coming back!

Sadamoto-sensei and The Pillows are back! If only Khara could expedite Evangelion 3.0+1.0 so that Tsurumaki-sensei can come back too (and that we get the darn movie already)...

I think it unlikely that they can capture lightening in the bottle a second time, but I guess we'll see. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed as FLCL is one of my favorite anime.

Yes! Now this shouldn't be a total disaster at least.
 Heh. Heh. Actually, I'm quite hopeful this will turn out to be something pretty good, but I'm trying to keep my expectations low, just in case. Still, The Pillows being aboard definitely makes this something I'll much be looking forward to.

The only thing I liked about FLCL was the pillows. So at least I'll probably get another enjoyable ost out of it.
