Yay for Fire Force. Yen Press would've taken forever to release it, so thank goodness it's with Kodansha.

Been waiting forever for Fire Force. I imagine it'll get a decent push when BONES adapts it in a couple years.

Fire Force sounds like something out of Power Rangers Anime hyper. I would have preferred they kept it Fire Brigade of Flames, but whatever.

Quote:
Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment's notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous "devil's footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first

Ok, does anyone else think that sounds like The Fireman (any book fans in the house)?

Enen no Shouboutai began publication in 2015. Joe Hill's book was published this year. I should know I own a copy. I think it's just an uncanny coincident. While similar in concept, they are two separate stories.

Kodansha USA strikes once again with their horrible title translations. Wait, I take that back. It's not a translation. They pulled it out of their butts.
