Of course, Togedemaru retains its Japanese name. (Yet, Emonga didn't).

Emonga's English name change bothers me. Pachirisu and Dedenne kept their Japanese names. And now we have Togedemaru (I'm having fun watching youtubers try and pronounce it. One pronounced it as "Togamadaro" and I couldn't help myself...).

Drampa's name is perfect in every way.

Togedemaru looks to be this generation's Pikachu clone.

Personally, I'm very excited for Cutiefly as it appears to be based on my beloved Hummingbird Hawk-moth!

Sorry to bring this up, but Charjabug's Japanese name is actually spelled "Denjimushi (デンムシ)."

Anyhow, I'm impressed with how Vikavolt's design has resemblance to the the Gradius and the Vic Viper. Smile His Ability Levitate means it'll never have to worry about being hit by Ground-type attacks (unless affected by Gravity).

Its Japanese name is "Jijiilong", which means "Granpa" in Japanese + "Dragon" in Chinese. Refers to it being a Chinese dragon as opposed to a more Japanese one.

Yesterday I was describing the new Pokemon to my friend over the phone and when I got to Togedemaru, this is the conversation (not the exact conversation):

Me: Oh it's the new Pikachu clone, it looks like it's a hedgehog.
Friend: Oh no! Is it Sonichu?
Me: No... it looks nothing like Sonichu.

If the nickname Sonichu doens't catch on, I will be very surprised...
