Simisear actually originated in Black and White, not X and Y.

Firstly, Simisear is from Gen 5, not 6. I actually used one on my team in my first play though of White, and I hated it.

It has trash stats, it is neither cute nor cool looking, it is "yet another monkey looking pokemon", as a pokemon it has a number of reasons why it is by default a loser, "hypeing it up" might work to replace the perfect last place stat but it certainly will never even be a contender for the top in popularity poles.

I like the other two fire monkey families better.

Poor Simisear ;_;
Sure, its stats are middling, its movepool is mediocre, and its design is inoffensive at best, but dead bottom in popularity? That's just brutal.
I had fun with a Simisear holding a Heat Rock with Overheat, Sunny Day, Nasty Plot and Solarbeam, and I'd do it again if I hadn't lost the game he was on.

Actually, Simisear debuted in Black & White.
Anyhow, while someone had to end up being on the last slot, it's still sad that Simisear become Japan's least-favored Pokémon. Perhaps this small promotion will cheer it up a bit.

Don't "trash" on Garbodor. It is a "waste" of your time. Your opinion is "rubbish"! Too much fun doing that. But no seriously, he is one of my favorite Pokemon ever and his unpopularity only fuels my love for him.
Now that I take a closer look, Simisear actually has a cute face. Actual trash Pokemon like Diggersby should have placed as least favorite.

You know, this means Mr Mime outranks this in popularity.

There's people that actually like Dunsparce, Electreon, Kakuna/Metapod, Murkrow, Raticate, Voltorb, Geodude, Zubat, Clefable, Hawlucha, Electabuzz, Porygon, Basculin,Tropius, Dustox, Shiftry, Unown, Dugtrio, Onix, Spritomb, Drapion, Sawk, Alomomola, Tynamo, Durant, Stunfisk, & Magikarp!?
That's....just ridiculous.

If Simisear does improve its popularity, who will be at the bottom of the Pokemon popularity barrel then?
