I'm sorry but can someone explain to me why My Hero Academia is getting only a 13 episode adaption? I mean it has way too much focus on itself this past month and so much recognition that I'm just curious as to my the adaption is so lacking in length?
I thought that 13 episode adaptions were a safe way to adapt a series and to minimize risk. But that way things are going for My Hero Academia it seems like it is a sure thing, so my so little faith it that the adaption is basic level? Crossing my fingers for Noragami. It's an excellent, well paced manga with memorable characters and great art. Bring it home.

Ask Studio Bones. They rarely make 24 episode series anymore. My Hero Academia has more than enough content for 24 episodes. |

General - i am leaning towards Golden Kamuy since it already won the Taisho award(Competed with Bokumachi there too)
Shounen - I would imagine BnHa or Noragami |

Just curious, but is there any reason why Kodansha calls it the "General" category instead of having separate awards for Seinen or Josei? Maybe "General" is for all non-Shonen titles?
Anyway, I've only read Ajin, which is pretty much action-packed if nothing else. |

The animation studio doesn't decide how many episodes to produce. That's up to the producer(s) (in this case, Toho). Besides, the only place that that length was stated was on a French streaming website. It's guaranteed that it's going to be longer than 13 episodes, but it might be a repeated split-cour where every Spring and Fall has MHA, which I prefer to the Ass Class and Food Wars model of having a continuous half-year on air and a continuous half-year off air. |
