Awesome. So glad this turned out to be true. I played the game a little while ago and I'm excited to see how they're going to adapt it into a movie or television series. I hope that it isn't, unlike with some adaptions, obvious that it's based on a visual novel.

I suspected as much. The 'fake' trailer had actual high quality animation in it and companies never go that far for just a joke.

This screams movie to me, but I think a 12/13 episode anime could work if they added some more backstory/detail to the world and characters. Mad hyped. And unlike Rewrite, this actually has a good studio....

speaking of Key anime.... has anyone else seen the new Rewrite pv yet? the animation looks like it was all done by Ryouma Ebata.... he's a Sakuga animator..... it was incredible. definitely gonna be a great series

Why don't you think 8 Bit are any good? and DO NOT say adaptation quality..... doesn't count in my books as a reason to dislike a studio

it's a pretty old april fools joke by blizzard introducing a bard class for WOW that plays using a beatmani/rock band style system for it's skill.

I mean to be fair Blizzard at the peak of WoW had more than enough money to throw at stupid April Fools jokes vs a fairly new animation studio and a VN company.

I would just be happy with a 30 minute OVA though a movie would be better. A TV series would be overkill and may add undesirable elements.

At this point I'd be like Key title... woooot!
But seriously. I liked Planetarian, though short it was a good story. I am not sure how this can translate into an Anime though.. its not like this series can end on a positive note...
