I'm still going to need a full trailer and see how it's animated before I'll bother with it.

This is a very early announcement considering that we are 3 months away for this show to premiere. I wonder if this is because perhaps Crunchyroll has exclusive streaming rights and home video distribution rights.

Waoh, now this one was unexpected. It isn't very often you see titles announced months in advance like this, and it seems Crunchyroll have "exciting things" planned for it.
I'm certainly more interested with this now and I originally was.

CR's not even done snatching up some of Spring's hype shows and they already begun grabbing up Summer's hype shows!

Is it basically a continuation of the 3 movies in TV format? I'm glad we're finally getting more of the manga animated. I just hope it looks good; I didn't really like the use of cg in the movies.

Surprised Viz or Funimation didn't pick this one up.

I don't hate CG. I hate bad CG, just as much as I hate bad animation. And those skeletons in the trailer looked like they were made of clay. I won't let animation quality prevent me from watching the show, I just wish a show of Berserk's caliber would be handled better in the art department.

Most likely it'll be the censored version unless we are very lucky. Hopefully it'll air uncensored as well.

Viz will still most likely get the home video rights.

I'm guessing Spring is going to see a fair bit of promo work trying to move the chatter beyond "omg CG gross no watch"

They should put their money elsewhere. Like pick up that Darker than Black license or something.

I thought the movies CG improved dramatically as the trilogy went along, the third film easily being the best. I hope if they continue with the CG it will continue on that upward trajectory. Also I know it is soon but I am hopeful of a future release with a reprisal of the original english cast work. They did such a wonderful job & their performances were easily the best thing to me about the films. I'm hoping for the best. So lets wait & see, but I'm still worried about the show's production team.

I'm excited for this, but only in the sense of expecting to get my expectations crushed. Berserk is hands-down one of my favorite series, but how this is animated will make or break it. So thus far, I'm setting my expectations extremely low.
