RIP Toqger.

Probably for the best. Those Shadow Line suits are too kirakira for Saban. :p

The mech was also kinda goofy looking. And I don't think trains would sell as well here as they would in Japan. Plus, Ninjas are just cooler than trains.

Shame to lose the color swapping gimmick, though.

Now comes the question if Saban will continue their deal with Nick since I believe their current deal ends this year.

...but he's a cowboy that plays an electric guitar and transforms with a burger! You can't get more American than that. (^.^;)

Sooo Super Ninja steel is confirmed aswell then. Anyway, so that is the second show the skipped in a short period... interesting. Ohh well, for the Toqger fans their is always a chance for an Alien/Kaku styled appearance how ever slim it might be.

Why would Disney want Power Rangers? They already own Marvel and Star Wars. They don't need a franchise they won't fully own (gotta pay Toei) to target boys.

Shh, don't give Disney ideas. For all we know, they might want a piece of the anime market by buying Toei... Anime dazed

I'm wondering if the suit swapping is part of why they're skipping Toqger?

Also, if the deal with Nick only goes through 2016, and SDC is 2016's series, we can't say if Ninninger will get the same 2-part treatment as we've been getting, since they can either a) go elsewhere, or b) renegotiate the deal to get it changed.

That, coupled with trains not really being popular with kids here (do American kids hate Thomas the Tank Engine now?) I could see. I could just imagine some parental groups complaining the men becoming pink or something silly like that

I like ToQger more than Ninninger overall, compared to some other people who seem to loath ToQger. Also, for all the trash ToQoh got, I find it better looking than Shurikenjin with it's little chest pilot which is pretty silly, but still amusing. Also this means we're going back to the Shinkenger method of having a bunch of non-Asian people playing samurai/ninja, which is always funny. I vote Shironinger as being the token Asian this time around.

Did Disney handle Power Rangers better or something? I sometimes see this comment pop up. I don't watch the American adaptions outside maybe an episode to see how they handle them, but my issue with them is usually how lazy they are. Seems like for the adaptions of Shinkenger, Goseiger, Gokaiger, and now Kyoryuger they're always about generic teenagers in school. Compared to original where the cast was a group of refuge angels stranded on earth, or a group of alien space pirates who come to earth and get dragged into a war, some human experiments and robots as survivors of a lab disaster, a group of people from all walks of life ranging from a barbarian warrior to a middle aged Japanese office worker, or spoiler[ a group of child soldiers basically drafted into a war between light and darkness]. And now we're getting Zyuohger with it's human zoologist and four animal mutants. It'd just be nice to see Saban step outside their comfort zone, is all.

Super Megaforce was STILL better than anything Disney did after Dino Thunder
