Okay, what happened to him and does the paralysis affect his performance?

Bell's palsy? This happened to my dad once, lasted maybe a week. Not that serious usually.

Quote: | He composed and performed theme songs for Lucky Star, where he also played an animated version of himself. |
It could be that Kogami caused it on purpose--
This would never happen to a more popular voice actor, RIIIIIGHT??

That's probably good news, because all he needs is rest and his medicine and he'll be ok.

Sounds very discomforting, I wish him all the best.

Oh the NEW version of Initial D.
Watching the original Initial D was half the reason why I couldn't watch Shakugan no Shana. Every time Marchosias had a line (NO INDOOR VOICE) I kept expecting him to complain about being a lonely driver.

Reading the headline and seeing him with a big stupid smile made me laugh.

It seems that his stress from having to contend with Akira's moody personality has taken its toll.
On a serious note, it's great that Mr. Shiraishi-san is still capable of showing his expressions despite his face paralysis.

It happened to my youngest brother in September 2001. It went away on its own, though I think it took a few weeks.
Bell's Palsy doesn't go away for everyone, though. Former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien is one person whose face was permanently afflicted with it.

Hey, just today I finished watching Lucky Star. It was great anime and wish him all the best. His performance is down right hilarious.
