Well, now I can check this show out since I've never heard of it until Nozomi Ent. announced it.
Guess I'll try it after re-watching at Free! Season 1...with the Funimation dub. EDIT: BLEGH. I take it back; I just watched the first two episodes and they were dull as hell. What even possessed Nozomi/Lucky Penny to pick up such an ugly, poor man excuse of a high school comedy? The jokes were badly setup and all the gags fell on their face. The facial expressions were lazily drawn and the FLCL type freak outs lacked any charm with these lifeless cutout cliched character types. I'm saving my money for other series. (-__- |

Hyakko starts off uninspired. The first 2-3 episodes aren't anything special. After that, however, it becomes charming (to a degree).

One my favourites in the genre, such a shame it did not do good enough for a s2.

Hyakko starts off "bleh", but it does get better as it goes. Unfortunately IMO only a bit better, and only in the last couple of episodes did it get interesting. Alas, by then most viewers had given up on it.
I quickly ran through the manga for it after viewing the anime, and if I remember correctly, the anime followed the manga closely in terms of story. If the anime had rearranged things slightly, and shown that 'flashback' story earlier in the run, it probably would have done better in terms of viewership numbers. |

I think the tv serie covered all the 4 manga volumes, so there isn't more material to animate. It will be good if they made the real ending of Zero no Tsukaima based on the new last 2 light novel volumes. |

Alas by then? How many people stick as long as that for a show?! Happy Festivus, everyone! |
