Chance Pop Session, I remember... I had a good time watching it, but the singing parts where the same dancing animation was used over and over was a bit off-putting...

Honestly, these were mostly bad shows. Poor animation, repetitive singing and dancing, generic story... nothing special at all.
Kirarin also completely degenerated into crappy CG animation that looks worse then choppy PS1 games. |

That was honestly the first show I looked for. It's not on the list, so people do remember... I think... I hope... |

Lovely Idol had this memorable script reading at their live event:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0koRzYppMrs (longer version at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZVYaDLuod4) It seems that the voice actresses did really enjoy themselves. |

And only one of the Moderators still remembers Key, the Metal Idol.

Yeah, me too, I thought it was gonna be on this list, but nope. >_> Even though I liked the series much. <_< |

As someone who spent more than anyone ever should with Lovedol ~Lovely Idol~, I'd say that it could've been better if not for the Loads and Loads of Characters dragging things down. A show about the six main girls in 12+1 episodes might've been manageable, but all the screentime and dialogue given to the first and second generations of Lovedols didn't leave much room for quality story/character development. Instead, they relied on viewers' knowledge of the source game to provide prior knowledge.

Never seen any of them, and haven't even heard of half of them. Then again, I never watched an idol anime before this year, unless you count the Macross franchise.
And speaking of, where's Macross Delta on the survey list? I was going to vote for that... |

Felt the same. I liked CPS since I first watched it as a rental from Blockbusters! That was at least 10 years ago and I finally watched the rest of the series last year and, yeah, the same song and dance moves 4 times an episode got so annoying for me I started skipping those scenes. |

There's a preview special scheduled for New Year's Eve, which may or may not include the first episode, but no word on when it will start airing as a series as far as I know. |

Full moon is a classic in my opinion and had some excellent music, I still sing the opening songs, I think this was the first series I brought the soundtracks for |

Chance Pop and Lemon Angel were great shows for the time and I loved them.
I wanted to like Venus Project, but it's scheduling and airings were so abstract that I could never figure out when they were airing, even when I was in Japan, they would get bumped and rescheduled. When, they finally did air, it was almost always the live action segments. I pretty much lost interest. Million Doll was too short with less than five minutes per episode, and half of it being the CG opening and closings to establish anything but a rushed plot. I could ignore the CG if it wasn't half the bloody show. Personally, I think AKB0048 should have been on that list. Considering I can't walk 10 meters through any part of Ueno here without see a billboard, bench, or aerial blimp ad for AKB48, the anime seemed very coolly received here. I would imagine there was even less hype in the west. |

Lovely Idol was like some weird proto-Idolm@ster looking back at it. It had a producer character, an introverted singer who was reluctant to do anything else other than singing and was made to stand out from the rest of the cast, and it had senpai idols that the main cast looked up to and frequently interacted with like in Cinderella Girls. Except...none of the characters had any redeeming qualities beyond their anime cliches or defining moments that I remember. Nor were any of the live scenes any good.
Also, I couldn't even stand one episode of Lemon Angel because of the main girl's voice. |

The results of the Digimon polls were not surprising. Digimon Adventure & Tamers are undoubtedly the best in the franchise. And love the fact that, even after all the unnecesarry bashing and hate Digimon Savers get, it still polled way better than the crappy Xross Wars series, love that <3 is a little too soon to judge Adventure tri though, but I have hope the upcoming movies are going to get better
