A sports theme anime with colorful character designs by one of my favorite studios? Sounds interesting to me!

Well color me surprised. I wasn't expecting this otome game to get an anime. But the reception in Japan seemed good plus ot's Madhouse! Nice.

People who played the source game say "it reads more like a sports manga" and "a (semi)realistic story of how a team that was almost broken up gets motivated to run for each other".

Long story short, it could surpass Free! in the right hands.

The cast had 3 Ono's... Laughing
Good thing is, Okamoto is finally returning to lead roles after playing a lot of supporting lately.

In this case, it's the girl getting passed around.

So this would be the first marathon sports anime I've seen. Since Madhouse in charge and quite a few popular male voice actors are on the project, my expectations are high. spoiler[Now how shall become my next OTP?] Wink

Some reverse harem sold more dvd/Blu-ray than Free!
Yes, this can be more popular than Free! If they can get both make and female viewers.

What the heck does that statement have to do with actual quality?
The reason why those types of shows sell more is because the demographic who are sad enough to watch those shows are also the majority of people crazy enough to throw away their money on that crap.

Has there been other otome adaptations that sold more than 20k other than Uta no Prince-sama?
