Hey maybe it would of been finished by September, if you hadn't wasted time rushing out the Red Ash Kickstarter.

Ugh, I usually get the hopes high for many games. But MN9 itself looks "dead" for my taste.

Except that was completely due to the marketing end of business in place of actual production of any form of a game (be it MN9 or Red Ash).
At the very least this will be the product delivered proper in place of say Colonial Marines.

surprise surprise
when people are self driven theyre more prone do delays and setbacks, if this were a cheap indie game i'd say you get what you pay for but last i checked this game pulled in some serious cash so i'd say some compensation for the backers should be order. if that does happen i'll kick myself for not backing this earlier

It was just a month away too. Seems like a serious delay for some bugs in one portion of the game.

They should have just given the release date as "It will be done when it's done" Blizzard style.
I don't think folks get how even the best planned and executed of software projects can trip up on unexpected bugs at least moment.
I can only imagine this goes double for games which tend to be comparatively understaffed with aggressive timelines.

Acording to the Backer email it's exactly that bugs in the Online part of the game.

I don't get why people are moaning here. Would you rather everything to be working day 1 or a bug filled mess like most AAA games?

I'd laugh and say "I told ya so", except I too find this disappointing.

It's popular to hate on Mighty No. 9 nowadays.
But seriously, if the game does come out in Q1 2016, it'll still be closer to hitting its original estimate than most Kickstarter games are. It's a little annoying, but I'd rather they take their time than release a buggy mess.

I don't get all the hate that Mighty No. 9 is getting. The only thing I can think of is the forum problem (which when reading up on it was really a mountain out of an ant hill) and the art style changed a bit from concept art. If they are having bugs in the online part and feel that it isn't ready I think it should be delayed for a while if it needs fixed. They are taking their time with bugs and not the norm "Fix it later" type crap.
Heck, the Kickstarter is only a year at best behind, which isn't too bad at all. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, which I backed, was suppose to come out last year and it still a while before we get that. The Otakon Beat-Up game is never coming out (and hardly had much demo's) so seeing this i the bug testing stage shows real promise that they are taking their time working on it.

Ah, the bane of recent game releases, the online component.

If they do get to their original estimated release date, then at least, in a negative sense, they accomplished that. However, how much of these are actually bugs and how much is just using that as an excuse is another. That is, corporate greed and crowdfunding can have people taking advantage of the funders.
