Yet no Haruhi or Code Geass news? Any idea on why there's such a long delay for these?

Did they literally just sign the contract when they announced those titles, so it's taking a long time?

Was excited for Dragonball Super, left giddy for Speed Racer. I'm so conflicted.

I agree. They really need to get on to their Bandai titles, along with a Steins Gate dub, Evangelion 3.33 release, and probably a lot more.

I didn't know I was looking for Speed Racer on Blu-Ray, but apparently I am now!

Happy they got the Project Itoh films(though those were going to end up with Aniplex).I'll probably pick up Noein. Disappointed that we still haven't got any dates on the Bandai licenses such as Outlaw Star.

I can understand 3.33, since at least they made a statement about that, but the Steins;Gate movie is still a thing.

Cowboy Bebop is great and all, but I'm feeling forgotten by Funimation for wanting Geass. And those Akito OVAs which I swear they licensed too.

Speed Racer is an odd, but welcome license. Didn't Sentai have a deal with Tatsunoko? Anyway, I'll probably pick it up. It's weird to see FUNi rescue such an old series, no matter how big. It's usually Discotek, Nozomi, or Sentai that get those. Hope FUNi gets some other old shows!

I think Funi is licensing too much because they still many titles that they licensed last year or years ago that they yet to either stream/release a boxset of. It only took them just over 2 years to release that 009 movie.

I've always been curious on if Funimation has to "wait" to re-release previously licensed anime.

I'm starting to think that more popular titles like FLCL and Trigun got released quicker after being rescued, so I guess less popular rescued anime get put on the backburner? I guess a number of things could be up but still it makes you wonder...

Just to echo what others are saying, I too want to see Funimation hurry with releasing their Bandai rescues.

what?THAT is the result of Tatsunoko getting back the control of Speed Racer instead of more of that WONDERFUL Next Generation cartoon?...SAID NO ONE EVER!

I'm surprised that Sentai didn't grab given their apparent love for Tatsunoko shows.
Plus Funimation will dub it with their in-house cast probably following the Japanese script, that's going to be interesting.

The Bandai rescues are being delayed on the Sentai end too most likely because of lack of materials from Japan. Someone asked them about it at AX and this was their response: http://www.fandompost.com/oldforums/showthread.php?23888-Sentai-Filmworks-license-rescues-select-Bandai-Ent-titles&p=315682&viewfull=1#post315682

It is not that Funimation is sitting on them, this is just another situation on the Japanese end much like the Geneon stuff a few years ago.
